Dreaming of an epic elopement in Colorado, the PNW, or Iceland? I’m Michelle, an adventure elopement photographer who helps couples create unforgettable, wildly beautiful experiences. Whether it’s exchanging vows on a mountaintop in the Rocky Mountains, chasing waterfalls in Washington’s North Cascades, or standing on black sand beaches in Iceland, I’ll guide you every step of the way and capture the real, raw, breathtaking moments of your story.

While I’m based in Colorado, I document adventure elopements across the world. My home bases include Colorado, Iceland, and the Pacific Northwest, but if your story takes you somewhere wild and meaningful, I’ll meet you there.
Adventure elopements are about more than skipping the big wedding, they’re about creating an intentional experience that reflects who you are as a couple. Instead of stressing over traditions that don’t fit, you can design a day filled with freedom, intimacy, and unforgettable moments. Imagine exchanging vows on a mountaintop in Colorado, wandering through the lush forests of the Pacific Northwest, or exploring the rhyolite mountains in Iceland. Choosing a destination elopement means choosing adventure, authenticity, and memories that will last a lifetime.

My ultimate goal? To create photos that make you feel something every time you look at them, images that transport you back to the wind in your hair, the laughter in your vows, the way it felt to hold each other in that place, in that moment. These aren’t just photos; they’re living memories you’ll return to for the rest of your lives.
My approach blends both editorial and documentary styles so you get the best of both worlds. I’ll step in with direction when you need it, creating timeless, editorial-inspired portraits, and step back when the moment calls for pure candids, letting your story unfold naturally.
Most importantly, I listen to what you want. If you dream of more posed, magazine-worthy images, I’ll deliver them. If you prefer raw, unposed moments that feel effortless, I’ll focus on that.

The outdoors has always been where I feel most at home. I've spent countless days backpacking through rugged terrain, running remote trails, and mountain biking down winding singletrack. Pushing myself on solo adventures, like backpacking the Wonderland Trail and the Tour du Mont Blanc, has only deepened my appreciation for wild places. After years of exploring Colorado, the PNW, and Iceland where I’ve had the chance to experience some of the most incredible landscapes, I knew I wanted to help others connect with nature in a meaningful way. That’s what led me to adventure elopement photography. Capturing couples in these stunning, remote places, where the experience matters just as much as the photos, is something I truly love. Now, I’m also getting to share that passion with my son, introducing him to the same trails, mountains, and open spaces that have shaped so much of my life.
I intentionally limit the number of clients I take on each year. This ensures that every couple receives not just a photographer but a dedicated storyteller. I have Limited spots remaining for 2026. Reach out to see if your date is available and to get on my calendar.
