DOCUMENTING AND GUIDING INTENTIONAL ELOPEMENTS ACROSS WASHINGTON'S MOUNTAINS, RAINFORESTS, AND WILD COASTLINE

From moss-covered rainforests and foggy sea stacks to glacier-capped peaks and alpine lakes so blue they don't look real, the Pacific Northwest packs a ridiculous amount of variety into one corner of the map. You can say your vows on a misty beach in the morning and watch the sun go down over the mountains that same night.

I photograph Pacific Northwest elopements for couples who want more than pretty photos. They want a day that feels relaxed, meaningful, and actually connected to the place they chose.

The Pacific Northwest is wild in the best way

The PNW is perfect for couples who want options. Olympic National Park alone has rainforest, coastline, and mountains all in one park. Add Mount Rainier and the North Cascades and you've got wildflower meadows, glaciers, and turquoise lakes within a few hours of Seattle. It's green, a little moody, and a lot quieter than you'd expect once you step off the main trails.

HOW i help plan

ELOPING IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST TAKES MORE THAN A PRETTY VIEW.

Location Curation: I'll recommend spots based on your hiking experience, how much privacy you want, the time of year, and the feel you're going for. Sometimes that's a quiet stretch of beach on the Olympic coast, sometimes it's an alpine trail in the North Cascades, and sometimes it's a place that hasn't been all over Instagram yet.

Permits & Responsible Planning: I guide you through where ceremonies are permitted, how to navigate protected areas respectfully, and what’s required to ensure your elopement is both meaningful and compliant with current regulations. I'll walk you through all of it, plus Leave No Trace practices so we're taking care of these places while we're there.

Weather-Conscious Timeline Design: PNW weather does its own thing. Coastal fog, mountain rain, snow hanging around at Paradise well into summer. I build timelines with all of that in mind, including tide charts for beach locations and backup spots nearby, so your day feels easy instead of stressful.

Experience-Led Direction: I help you plan a day that actually feels like yours, with time to explore, slow down, and be present with each other instead of rushing from one photo spot to the next.

Photography that feels Natural and unforced

My approach blends documentary storytelling with gentle editorial direction. I'll guide you when you need it and step back when the moment calls for it.

The landscapes out here do a lot of the work on their own. Your photos should feel honest and true to how it felt to be there. Damp moss under your boots, salty wind coming off the ocean, cracking up when a wave gets a little too close. Those are the moments I care about most.

Is a pacific northwest elopement right for you?

  • Feel most like themselves outside
  • Want a small, experience-focused wedding day
  • Don't mind a little rain (or a lot of fog)
  • Care more about being present than following tradition

If that sounds like you, the Pacific Northwest might be exactly where you're meant to get married.

PNW elopements are perfect for couples who:

why I recommend a multi-day PNW elopement experience

The Pacific Northwest isn't something you can see in an afternoon.

Between the rainforests, coastline, glaciers, and alpine lakes spread across three national parks, a few hours just isn't enough. Getting from the Hoh to Hurricane Ridge alone takes a couple of hours, and Rainier and the North Cascades are in completely different directions. That's why I focus on full day and multi-day Pacific Northwest elopements, so you have the time and flexibility to actually experience it.

more than a ceremony - it's an experience

Your PNW elopement shouldn't feel rushed. A multi-day experience lets us capture:

  • Your vows somewhere that means something to you
  • The quiet, in-between moments
  • Exploring rainforest trails, tide pools, alpine meadows, and beaches together
  • The whole story of your day, start to finish

That way your gallery tells the story of your whole adventure, not just one moment.

A Slower, More Intentional Pace

With extra time, you can:

  • Take breaks and actually soak it all in
  • Enjoy slow mornings or sunset adventures
  • Share meaningful moments without feeling rushed
  • Be fully present with each other

Because your elopement deserves more than just a timeline, it deserves space to breathe.

Freedom to Work With PNW Weather

Rain is part of the deal out here, and honestly, it's part of the magic. Fog rolling through the trees and moody skies over the ocean make for some of my favorite photos.

Planning a multi-day PNW elopement gives us the flexibility to:

  • Shift locations if the weather rolls in
  • Chase the best light and conditions
  • Have backup plans that still feel just as beautiful

Instead of stressing about the forecast, you'll know we can adapt and still create something incredible.

Explore More of the Pacific Northwest's Iconic Landscapes

From the Olympic coast to the North Cascades, the PNW covers a lot of ground, and a lot of it is hours apart. With a multi-day elopement, we can explore places like:

Moss-covered rainforests like the Hoh and Quinault
Rugged beaches with sea stacks and tide pools
Alpine lakes and wildflower meadows
Glacier views and mountain ridgelines

That way your photos feel varied and completely your own.

Your Pacific Northwest Elopement,
Designed Around You

Whether you're thinking about a full day elopement or a 2 to 3 day adventure, I'll help you put together a plan that fits your vision, your pace, and what matters most to you.

From location scouting and permits to tide charts, rain plans, and travel tips, I'll be there to help every step of the way.

The outdoors has always been where I feel most at home. I've spent countless days backpacking through rugged terrain, running remote trails, and mountain biking down winding singletrack. Pushing myself on solo adventures, like backpacking the Wonderland Trail and the Tour du Mont Blanc, has only deepened my appreciation for wild places. After years of exploring Colorado, the PNW, and Iceland where I’ve had the chance to experience some of the most incredible landscapes, I knew I wanted to help others connect with nature in a meaningful way. That’s what led me to adventure elopement photography. Capturing couples in these stunning, remote places, where the experience matters just as much as the photos, is something I truly love. Now, I’m also getting to share that passion with my son, introducing him to the same trails, mountains, and open spaces that have shaped so much of my life.
